I've been really slacking on the WIP & FOF posts and I apologize! It's been a rough couple of weeks. But I'm back!
A friend of my sister's asked me if I could make this for her. Her son is going to be a golfer for Halloween. She wanted me to match a certain green in his sweater. Because of this I wasn't able to use or find a matching green in the acrylic that I usually use. However my local craft store had a bunch of Ella Rae Classic in the colors that I needed, and it was on sale! I am enjoying working with it and am toying with the idea of using it more for my Amigurumi. For those Ami pros out there... What yarn do you use and why?
I have been working a lot lately and been sick and had photos to edit/enhance so it's been busy and not too much crochet time. I am house sitting for the next few days so I'm hoping to have some down time to crochet then, which is good since I have a list of projects/orders to finish up!
I guess it's time to quit typing and get back to crochet & photos. Hopefully will see you all Friday for a finished golf bag!
To see more WIPs visit Tami's Amis!
I wouldn't call myself an ami pro, but I generally use acrylic, because it's durable and washable and inexpensive. Vanna's Choice is a bit heavier than your everyday Red Heart acrylic, but it feels nicer. I love Caron Simply Soft, but that one's a bit thinner. I also really like Bernat Super Value, but the color selection is not as good. HTH
ReplyDeleteCute golf bag pattern. I'd never get it done in time though. Nice green :)
