Year of Projects, Week 1

Many of the blogs I follow are participating in a Year of Projects group on Ravelry where they set out with a list of projects they want to do that year and post every Sunday about their progress. This week starts the beginning of the 2nd year so I thought I'd join in the fun!!

So this first post is all about the list. If you haven't noticed already or are new to this blog, I like lists, I like creating them to help organize my thoughts, but most of all I love being able to cross things off my list! (On a side note I think I will start keeping my completed items on my To-Do Tuesday posts so that I can see how far I have come & what has actually been completed!)

Anyway, back to YoP... I have a steady stream of projects for stuffies coming in so those are always going to be on my to-do list so I thought with the YoP I would make a list of items that I would like to make that aren't necessarily part of my "everyday crochet".

Year of Projects List
• Floor Poof
• T-Shirt rag rug
• Crochet clock
• Yarn bomb something
• Crochet dress for Adult Prom 2013

This is a start.... We will see how far I get with this :-)

A few questions for those seasoned YoP bloggers... Is there a prompt every week or do we just post on our progress? Lists can be added to correct?

Another side note... On all the link parties I link to I am going to make it a habit of checking out & commenting on at least the person who linked up before me to make things a bit more interactive. I know I love it when others comment on my blog :-)

  1. Okay, this is the first time I've seen "Yarn Bomb something" on a list. Can't wait to see what you do with that ;)

  2. I love your list! Completely forgot I have a set of sheets to make into a rag rug, I should add it to my own list. There's no prompts every week, just an update on your progress :) And YES by all means edit your list whenever! Add, change, remove, whatever it is :) Good luck this year, welcome aboard!

  3. Welcome! I left you a note on Rav, too, but as Nicole mentions, there are no prompts. I usually stop by everyone's update during the week (I don't always get to it on Sunday) and try to leave as many comments as I can, too. You will really get to know the other bloggers who are active in YOP :). I can't wait to see what you make for the purple stitch project!

  5. Yarn bombing, I am too looking forward to see that... And nice list, by the way. If you like a lot do list, I had a great book, but I just discover it was only in french... sad. If by chance you read french, it's called l'art des listes.

  6. Welcome to the group and I hope you enjoy your year. Great looking list and I'm intrigued by the yarn bombing and the crochet dress, can't wait to see more on that. I normally do my post up every Sunday morning and then link that post (just the post) to the group for that week, someone will start off the week post either a moderator or sometimes someone who has just done there's first, if a moderator hasn't started it they will put a sticky on it so it remains at the top of the group for that week. HTH and don't be afraid to ask, no such thing as a silly question.

  7. I'm new to the group this year too! I love crochet dresses, although I've never made one I admire those who do! Can't wait to see. Your stuffies are adorable (cow - moo!) and I'm excited because I've been looking for a dishcloth pattern and I think I found it in the Sunny Skies pattern you shared a link too! Thanks and good luck this year!

  12. I cheat on my list at least once a month. As a matter of fact, I already have, but it wasn't fun cheating, so it doesn't count. Welcome!
