FO Friday, 3.8.13

Just finished this little guy and did a photo shoot for him. Anyone guess what he was? Well, his name is Rascal, and he is a frog.

Also finished off two mosquitos earlier this week. One will be going to Australia as it was an Etsy order. And one is headed to Tennessee via one of our bowling buddies.

FO Friday, 12.14.12

Finished off two Mosquitos this week but didn't take photos of either of them! Oops! Fortunately I still have a photo from the first one I made. It's another Fresh Stitches pattern using acrylic yarn. I have decided to try to use Bernat Super Value for my yarn when making stuffed animals (unless bulky or other yarn is requested). I feel it is the softest of the inexpensive acrylic yarn and it comes in a bunch of colors! This just means I need to work through my stash that has all different sorts of acrylic yarns. Anywhoo, here is Eugene:

I also finished two more Infinity Chain Scarves and have one more almost done. These are a simple quick no brainer project that I don't even need to look at to make! It is based off a tutorial listed here. I used Ella Rae Seasons for these two as I love the color changes! I know exactly who each one is going to as well!

That's it for me this week. Checking in with Tami's Amis to see other finished projects!

FO Friday, 11.9.12

Good morning!!! I have four finished projects for you today! Two I just finished this morning (and it isn't even 9 yet!!) One isn't crochet but it is the thing I led on to in Wednesdays WIP post.  So in order of completion here they are!!

I started & finished updating my website for my Photography business, KaitLavinPhoto.com. Previously it was a modified blog layout that had an about me, pricing and some examples of my work. And honestly, it was a bit blah and totally not what I really wanted it to look like. You can see the older version here. Please, please, please, let me know what you think! I love that I am able to easily upload new images so that I can let the site grow as my portfolio does. I still have more images to add but this was a start.

The last three FOs are actually crochet, so here you are!

This little Dino is headed to Canada (Katesie's Critters has gone international!) He is a Fresh Stitches pattern and oh so cute!

Another Fresh Stitches pattern is this little Mosquito headed to NY.

And lastly is a hat for my dear husband! Believe it or not it is the fist item I have crocheted for him. No pattern used, just HDC around and around then added in some DC, HDC & SC brown stripes at the bottom. Blue and brown is one of my personal favorite color combos, let's hope he likes it as well, he was expecting a plain blue hat.

That is it for me today friends! Hope you all have a terrific day & weekend! Headed over to Tami's Amis to check out everyone else's FO Friday!

Eugene the Mosquito

Buzzz....Buzzzzz....Buzzzz... SWAT!

I am not a fan of mosquitos in the least bit, but for some reason they LOVE me! My husband likes to joke that there is no need for anyone else to wear bug spray if I am around. But how can you not like this little guy! I couldn't swat at him, could you?

Pattern Used: Dale the Mosquito from FreshStitches
Yarn Used: Stash Yarn, Red Heart Super Saver maybe? Worsted Acryllic
Size: 6.5" from end of wings to the tip of the stinger, stands about 3" tall
