Year of Projects, Week 4

Year of Projects List
• Floor Poof
• T-Shirt rag rug
• Crochet clock
• Yarn bomb something
• Crochet dress for Adult Prom 2013
• Liam's Blanket
• Carson's Blanket

On Wednesday I posted about the awesome yarn score I got at Marden's (a surplus store in Maine). All of the yarn I got was for YOP projects! This first set is super nice Cascade -- some of the nicest yarn I have bought to date. These came from the LYS Quiltessentials and will be for the Purple Stitch Project Penguin.
This set is what I got at Marden's about $100-$150 worth for $30! SCORE! The Aqua & some of the Chocolate will be for my purse. The gold, carrot & chocolate (guessing on these colors as they only have #s listed) will be for mom's wrap. And the purple will be for more Purple Stitch Projects!

That's it for today! I don't have to get ready for work for another hour and a half so I think I will spend that time with hook & yarn! Come Blog-a-Long with your YOPs!

  4. That's an awful lot of yarn for 30 bucks! You really did score! I hope you did get a chance to steal an hour or so with your hook before work. Sometimes I find that gives me enough sense of accomplishment that no matter what happens at work I can roll with it :)

    1. I totally could have kept going but kept myself limited to what projects could I use for what yarns. I have a hard timr buying yarn if I don't have a particular project in mind :) I fortunately had my phone on me so I could check how much yardage is needed for each project. Thank heavens for smart phones! And I was able to get some hook time in and fingers crossed it'll carry me through, its a busy day at the studio!

  13. gorgeous colors. I wish i was the sort of knitter who only bought yarn as she had projects for them. I tend to think if i don't buy every skein i fancy, it'll disappear.
